VERMICELLI PULAO

Vermicelli Pulao Recipe

Ingredients :

  • Vermicelli 2 cups
  •  Potato 1cup (diced) (boiled)
  •  Carrot ½ cup (diced) (boiled)
  •  Cauliflower 5-6 florets (boiled)
  •  Green peas 1/4 cup (boiled)
  •  French beans 1/4 cup (boiled)
  •  Green capsicum ¼ cup (diced) (boiled)
  •  Salt (as required)
  •  Oil 4 tablespoons
  •  Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  •  Ginger- 1 chopped
  •  Onion – 1 chopped
  •  Green chilies 2
  •  Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  •  Lemon (as required)

Method :

  1. Heat five cups of water, bring it to a boil, add Vermicelli, salt and two tablespoons of oil. Cook for one minute or till slightly underdone. Drain, pour under cold water and keep aside.
  2. Add green chilies and stir. Add the boiled vegetables, turmeric powder and sauté for 4-5 minutes. Add cooked vermicelli, salt and stir gently.
  3. Cook for five to six minutes. Squeeze some lemon and serve hot.
