SAUCY CHEDDAR MUSHROOM SHELLS

SAUCY CHEDDAR MUSHROOM SHELLS

  • Serves 6 people

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 cups shell pasta
  • 2 cups white sauce
  • ½ cup mushrooms sliced
  • Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 25 gm Butter
  • 25 gm plain flour
  • 400 ml /600 ml Milk
  • Salt and white pepper

METHOD:

  1. Boil the pasta as mentioned in cooking instructions and set aside.
  2. To prepare the white sauce, melt the butter in a saucepan. Stir in the flour and cook. Take the pan off the heat and gradually stir in the milk to get a smooth sauce. Return the pan to the heat, stir and bring to a boil.
  3. Add the mushroom. Let it simmer for 8-10 minutes. Season with salt and white pepper.
  4. Pour the sauce over the pasta. Garnish with cheddar cheese and serve hot.
